LEADERSHIP

B-Team.png

Team Management

  • Led a multi-disciplinary team for 2 years to design, manufacture, test, and static fire a additively manufactured liquid rocket engine

  • Used agile project management to control the workflow and schedule throughout the project life cycle

  • Delegated task assignments and managed the budgetary needs of the engine development

Base 11 Mentorship Program

  • Mentored four community college students from various schools around the Greater Los Angeles Area on the basics of rocket science

  • Assigned project-based assignments to provide hands-on training in additive manufacturing, feed system assembly, rocket engine design, and data acquisition systems

  • Held technical presentations to cover the following topics:

    • Intro to Rocket Propulsion

    • Rocket Engine Sizing

    • Orbital Mechanics

    • Feed System Sizing

Industry Collaboration

  • Worked with EOS and The Aerospace Corporation to print and post-process the Balerion development engine, respectively

  • Took part in a technical workshop at The Aerospace Corporation to discuss the process for setting standards on additively manufactured parts

  • Presented an overview of the Balerion engine development campaign to the propulsion team at The Aerospace Corporation

Technical Workshop at The Aerospace Corporation

Teamwork

  • Partnered with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) to utilize the Colossus feed system that static fired the Balerion engine

  • Provided technical feedback on the Colossus feed system to increase its performance reliability and safety during operation

  • Handled multi-university logistics to address liability concerns and gain approval on service agreements

Initiative

  • Created a custom LPL GD&T drawing template to ensure proper standards are being followed and to optimally communicate with the machinist

  • Upgraded the IT infrastructure at LPL with a private network, wireless screen casting to a TV, wireless printing, and custom-built desktop computers

  • Organized/streamlined the LPL file storage drive and setup a monthly automated back-up system
